What LeagueApps says it is

LeagueApps' home page describes a "Youth Sports Management Platform" and lists registration, payments, communications, scheduling, reporting and facilities, with mobile apps and youth sports websites alongside. [1]

The page says it is for clubs, camps, tournaments and leagues, and its sports list includes soccer among baseball, basketball, field hockey, football, hockey, lacrosse, softball and volleyball. [1]

It names a custom WordPress website built with a designer, and a mobile app for schedules, RSVPs and team communication. [1]

LeagueApps pricing

LeagueApps' pricing page says it charges "No subscription fees" and has "No contract lock-ins". You pay a small fee as a percentage of each payment transaction. [2]

The page describes a one-time setup fee, no cost for offline payments, and no monthly or annual invoices because the fee comes out of each registration payment. [2]

It lists optional add-ons with an annual fee, such as branded team communication apps or a custom website design service, and volume discounts and discounted rates for non-profit organizations. [2]

It says payments are powered by Stripe, and that when you refund, LeagueApps refunds the full amount to the cardholder and pays back your transaction fees. [2]

On the day we read it, the page named no percentage and no setup amount, and offered a quote. [2]

For comparison, here is what Squadora does with fees today.

  • Club admins get a plain-language page that explains how fees work, using the club's own numbers.
  • A parent sees the exact price before paying by card, on a Stripe-hosted page, and gets an email receipt.

Questions to ask before you sign

  • What is the percentage on each online payment, and does it change with volume?
  • What is the one-time setup fee, and what do the add-ons cost each year?
  • Who pays the card fee, the club or each family?
  • Do we get a written quote that lists every charge?

What Squadora does today

These are things a club can do in Squadora now.

  • Admins open a registration for a season, camp, clinic, tryout or league, with a fee, a spot limit, a waitlist and a closing date.
  • A registration fee can be split into 2, 3, 4 or 6 payments.
  • Clubs build waivers, codes of conduct and custom forms, with short answer, checkbox, typed signature and choice fields.
  • Parents answer going, not going or maybe, with a note.
  • Coaches drag players onto a pitch in formations from 4-3-3 and 4-4-2 down to 2-3-1 for seven-a-side, then publish when the lineup is ready.
  • Staff start a match, adjust the score, call full time and send the result for sign-off.
  • A club can run a league: other clubs enter teams, the host approves them, and divisions are set by age, sex and level.
  • Clubs take card payments and receive payouts through their own Stripe account.
  • A child chats only with staff or their own guardians, and every guardian is added to the chat.
  • Admins import a roster from CSV, Excel or pasted rows, map the columns, review duplicates and create the teams named, up to 500 players a file.
  • Club owners and admins export CSV files for people, registrations, forms and payments, with no medical data and no card details.

Where LeagueApps may fit your club better

LeagueApps' own pages name facilities as a platform area and a custom website built with a designer. A club that wants those from the same vendor should look at LeagueApps first. [1]

  • Squadora has no club website builder.
  • Squadora has no livestreaming, sponsor management, uniform store, referee assignment, background checks or field booking with conflict checks.

LeagueApps lists many sports, so a club that runs several sports from one tool may find it a closer fit. [1]

How to choose
